Youth Camps

YOUTH BASEBALL CAMP

Dates: June 5-8, June 12-15, June 19-22, and July 24-27
Grades: K-5
Cost: $125.00
Time: 9:00 to 12:00

There will be four separate youth baseball camps this summer for rising Kindergarten through fifth grade students. These camps will focus on the fundamentals and cover all aspects of the game including hitting, fielding, throwing, running bases, and game simulations. Campers will receive a t-shirt the final day of the camp and a $5 credit towards the Snack Bank to go for snacks and drinks during breaks for the week. Campers will check in for camp the first day at 8:30 at the baseball stadium.

SAMFORD SPOTLIGHT CAMP

Dates: July 17-19
Grades: 9 - '06 Graduates
Times: Day 1 - 2:30 to 9:00
Day 2 - 9:00 to 9:00
Day 3 - 9:00 to 12:00
Cost: $300.00 (meal ticket $30.00)

The high school Spotlight Camp is designed for players to receive instruction and showcase their talent for college coaches throughout the state. The camp will include detailed individual instruction along with scrimmage games. In addition to the Samford coaching staff, there will be pro scouts and college coaches from all levels. The staff will include coaches from SEC schools as well.

This camp is for incoming 9th graders through 2006 graduates. The cost of the camp is $300.00. There will be a limited number of spots per position available for the camp. Due to dorm renovations, overnight accommodations for those that need them will be made on an individual basis. A special rate has been arranged through the camp at the Alta Vista hotel at 205-290-8000. Meal tickets can be purchased for $30.00 to cover all meals during the running of the camp.

Camp check in will start at the stadium at 2:00 on July 17.
