Women's Tennis Loses To Lamar, 5-2

Feb. 19, 2005

ALCORN, Miss. - The Samford University women's tennis team fell to Lamar, 5-2 on Saturday (Feb. 19). Competition took place in the Willie Mae Latham Taylor Park, located on the campus of Alcorn State. The Bulldogs won two singles matches for the day.

"We are a little disappointed after today's loss," said head coach Terri Sisk. "The Bulldogs played well, but the Lamar team pushed us harder than any other team we have played this season. I am proud of the way this team stuck it out and continued to play hard all the way to the end."

In doubles, the Bulldogs dropped all three matches against the Lamar team as the Cardinals gained the doubles point.
