HAMMOND, La. - The Samford University women's tennis team fell to Southeastern Louisiana, 6-1 on Sunday (Feb. 20). Competition took place at the Southeastern Tennis Courts, located on the campus of SLU. Katie McMiller won the only match of the day for the Bulldogs.
"The team played well today," said head coach Terri Sisk. "This is a young team and we have some small adjustments to make, but I am proud of their drive and effort in today's competition."
In doubles, the Bulldogs dropped all three matches against the Southeastern Louisiana team as the Lions gained the doubles point.
In singles, McMiller won the only match of the day for the Bulldogs against SLU's Nina Knavs. At the No. 3 position, McMiller lost the first game (2-6), won the second (6-4) and third (10-8) for a singles point.

The Bulldogs will battle Eastern Illinois on Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Darwin C. Hardison Tennis Center, located on the campus of Samford University in Birmingham.
