BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford athletic department announced Wednesday the radio and internet broadcast schedule for the 2005 baseball and softball seasons. A total of 35 baseball games and 10 softball games will be aired during the regular season, the most ever for one year in either sport.

Twenty-six regular season baseball games will be aired on WVSU-FM 91.1 in Birmingham, the flagship station of Samford athletics. The season opener at Georgia State on Tuesday, Feb. 15, kicks off the broadcast lineup, and contests at Alabama, Auburn, UAB, and Jacksonville State are among the games to be aired. All games aired on 91.1 can also be heard online with the Real Networks College Sports Pass, as well as three other games which will be broadcast solely online. Eighteen home games, including many being aired on radio, will be aired online on BULLDOGvision, Samford's internet webcast service that allows fans to listen to and watch Bulldog events from around the world on their computer.

Samford will also be available to broadcast 10 regular season softball games during the 2005 campaign. All 10 can be heard online with the Sports Pass, and six will be aired on 91.1 FM, including contests with Auburn, Alabama, Southern Illinois, and Jacksonville State.
