JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - The Samford University men's golf team finished in fifth place with a score of 583 (291-291) at the Grub Mart/ Jacksonville State Intercollegiate at Silver Lakes Golf Course. Day two of competition was cancelled due to bad weather. Jacksonville State took the crown with a score of 566, while Tennessee Tech carded 569 for second and Tennessee State shot 576 for third.
For the Bulldogs, Nathan Turner finished in a three-way tie for eighth-place overall. Turner led the Bulldogs with a score of 143, while Bradley Farmer shot 146, Andrew Villarreal carded 147, Reed Davis shot 149 and Ryan Mayberry carded 150.
Playing as a individual, Bradley Pate carded 148 for day one.
