MOREHEAD, Ky. - The Samford University men's tennis team (13-6, 7-0 OVC) defeated OVC-rival Morehead State, 4-2, today (April 8) at the George A. Sadler Tennis Courts, located on the campus of Morehead State University.

The Bulldogs took the doubles point after winning at court No. 2 and No. 3. Manuel Miletic / Renan Silveira lost the only match for Samford against Morehead State's Greg Johnston/ Kim Kachel, 8-1.

In singles, the Bulldog won at three out of five courts to take the match win. At court No. 3, Samford's Stuart Misner defeated MSU's Kim Kachel (6-4, 5-7, 6-3), while Silveira defeated MSU's Peter Taylor, (6-4, 6-2) at court No. 3 and Bradley Weaver won against MSU's Louis Orieux (6-0, 6-2) at court No. 5.
