BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford women's basketball program has signed Chika Okoli to a National Letter of Intent, Head Coach Mike Morris announced on Monday.
"We are very excited about Chika being a part of our basketball program and family," Morris said. "We believe she will be an outstanding addition to our team. She will bring a great deal of athleticism, quickness and speed to our team. She is a very good student and comes from a very good family."
Okoli (5-10, F, Brookwood HS, Snellville, Ga.) comes to Samford after averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior at Brookwood High School in Snellville, Ga. She was an All-Gwinnett County and honorable mention All-State selection. Okoli played in the Georgia All-Star game as a senior as well.
The signing of Okoli gives Samford five signees for this year's class. Morris said he expects to have one more signee during the late signing period.
