CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Samford University junior Bradley Weaver and sophomore Renan Silveira triumphed in the Flight B doubles final as the last day of the UTC/Steve Barras Fall Invitational, hosted by the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, came to a close on Sunday.
The Bulldog duo, who were the number one seeds in the Flight B doubles draw, emerged victorious when they took on the number two seeds in the final round. Weaver and Silveira earned an 8-6 win over UTC's Badr Bouabdellah and Artyom Vlasenko in an exciting final match to take the crown.

"I'm happy with the way the team competed this weekend," Samford head coach Kemper Baker said. "We had some good results. The tournament showed us where our strengths and weaknesses were and we're going to take some time to work on those. We'll take a few weeks to rest, get healthy and get ready for our next tournament."
Samford will return to action October 28-29, to showcase its team at home in Birmingham, Ala., at the Birmingham-Southern Fall Invitational, before taking time off to prepare for the spring season.
