BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford football team finished its preparations for Saturday's game at Baylor with a 90-minute workout in helmets and shorts Thursday afternoon at Seibert Stadium.
"We finished everything up, and hopefully, we are taking enough of an arsenal over there to get it done," Samford head coach Bill Gray said. "We had a much better day today. We will get on the plane tomorrow, and we are looking forward to it."
Gray said this weekend's trip would be an exciting one for the Bulldogs.
"I know they (Baylor) are expecting a good crowd," Gray said. "They have a lot of enthusiasm on their team right now. They finished strong last year, and won their opener on the road, so I am sure we will have a great atmosphere on Saturday to play in."
Samford will leave for Waco, Texas, Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. Kickoff for Saturday's game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The game can be heard locally on WVSU-FM 91.1, or worldwide on the internet at www.samfordsports.com or www.al.com/wvsu.
