Women's Basketball Game Notes In PDF Format

The Samford women's basketball team, currently in a three-way tie for first place in the Ohio Valley Conference, will travel to Murray, Ky., to take on the Murray State Lady Racers Monday night at 5:15 p.m.
Samford enters the game with a record of 14-5 overall and 9-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference after a 60-59 overtime loss to Austin Peay on Saturday. Murray State is currently 6-12 overall and 5-6 in the OVC after a 71-52 loss at Southeast Missouri on Saturday.
Samford and Murray State will be meeting for just the fourth time, with Samford leading the series, 2-1. Earlier this season, Samford defeated MSU, 83-67 in Seibert Hall.
So far this season, Samford is 6-3 away from Seibert Hall. The team is 6-2 in road games and 0-1 in neutral site games. Last season, the Bulldogs posted a record of 6-11 away from home, including a 4-10 record in road games, and a 2-1 mark at neutral sites.
Alex Munday, who has led Samford or tied for the team lead in scoring in 12 of the last 13 games, leads the team in scoring (17.1 ppg.) and rebounding (5.7 rpg.). Cora Beth Smith currently leads the team in assists, dishing out 3.5 assists per contest.
