BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford baseball program will hold its second-annual Hall of Fame Weekend, Feb. 16-19.

The festivities will begin with the Hall of Fame Banquet, honoring Marvin Breeding and Coach Virgil Ledbetter on Thursday, Feb. 16. The banquet will be held at the Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa at 7:00 p.m. Tickets to the banquet are available at $50, and they can be purchased by calling the baseball office at (205) 726-4095, or by e-mail at tgdavid@samford.edu.

The Alumni/Supporter Golf Outing will be held on Friday, Feb. 17. For information on the golf outing, e-mail Brooks Souders at brooks_souders@prenhall.com, or call the baseball office.

After the golf outing, the Samford baseball team will play its home-opener for the 2006 season against in-state rival Troy at 4:00 p.m. at Joe Lee Griffin Field.

The Bulldogs will meet Troy again on Feb. 18 and 19, with both games scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Joe Lee Griffin Field.
