All campers from the K to 7th grade are invited to attend the Samford Baseball Casey Dunn Youth camp. The camp will be staffed by the entire Samford University baseball coaching staff, Samford baseball players, professional baseball players, high school coaches, and other college coaches. The camp will focus on fundamentals in all areas, with the level of instruction varying with the ability level of each player.

Over the two days of the camp the campers will be provided with the basic fundamentals in a variety of aspects of the game: hitting, throwing, catching, fielding, and base running. By the end of the camp, each camper should have an understanding of the basics and put through a variety of drills to focus on each aspect of play.

Hitting instruction will focus on tracking ball, fundamentals of the swing, hitting for power, hitting to all fields, and introduced to a major league baseball video hitting analysis program that identifies hitting errors.

Players will be shown a variety of hitting drills to work on at the camp, and to use to fine-tune the swing after it.

The camp fee will include drinks and lunch for days, Samford Baseball Camp T-shirt, and admission for all home Samford baseball games during the season played at Joe Lee Griffin Stadium for the camper.
