BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Following Tuesday night's opening round of the 2006 O'Reilly Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, the top-seeded Samford University soccer team learned it will face the Southeast Missouri Redhawks in Friday night's semifinal round. The match will begin at 7 p.m., at Bulldog Field.

Samford (11-3-3, 6-0-3), which won the regular-season conference title for a fourth-consecutive year, will host the four-team postseason event for the third time in four years.

The Bulldogs will play fourth-seeded Southeast Missouri in Friday's second match. The semifinal opener will feature No. 2-seed Morehead State and No. 3-seed Eastern Illinois. Friday's opening match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., at Bulldog Field.

Samford will square off against Southeast Missouri for the second-consecutive time Friday. In their last match, the Bulldogs played to a 0-0 draw with the Redhawks on Oct. 22.

The winners of Friday's semifinal matches will face off for the OVC Tournament championship and an automatic berth in the 2006 NCAA Tournament at 2 p.m., on Sunday.
