BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford University men's and women's tennis teams play host to a pair of matches on Friday and Saturday. Samford will face Alabama A&M on Friday afternoon, before taking on Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee-Martin on Saturday morning at the Lakeshore Foundation.

The Samford men are coming off wins over OVC rivals Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky. The Bulldogs defeated the Eagles 6-1 on Friday, March 3, before winning 5-2 over the Colonels on Saturday. Hank Grant was undefeated at No. 2 singles and he and doubles partner Stuart Misner were also undefeated at No. 2 doubles over the weekend.

The Samford women are coming off a pair of wins over Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky as well. The Bulldogs won 6-1 over both the Eagles and the Colonels. Katie McMiller went undefeated at the No. 2 singles spot, and with partner Anna Jackson at the No. 2 doubles spot.

The Samford tennis teams will play host to Alabama A&M on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Lakeshore Foundation. The Bulldogs will then match up against the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks on Saturday at 11 a.m. Results will be posted at www.samfordsports.com following the conclusion of each match.
