JONESBORO, Ark. ---- The Samford University men's golf team held its 11th place position after the final round of competition at the 10th Annual ASU Indian Classic, hosted by Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark., on Monday and Tuesday.

The Bulldogs shot a 306 in the final round to finish with a combined score of 914 in the 54-hole tournament.

Reed Davis and Nathan Turner led the Bulldogs, tying for 18th after firing scores of 226. Both Bulldogs shot a 76 in the final round on Tuesday.

Ryan Mayberry shot a 226 to tie for 41st, shooting a 78 in the final round of play. Andrew Villarreal shot a combined 234 (78, 79, 77) to tie for 54th overall. Bradley Pate rounded out the top-five for the Bulldogs, finishing 66th after shooting a combined 237 (76, 84, 77).

Samford returns home to prepare for the 2006 Ohio Valley Conference Championship on April 24.
