Baseball Travels To Kennesaw State For Non-Conference Game

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford baseball team will play a non-conference game at Kennesaw State Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Central.

Samford enters the game with a record of 23-17 overall and 12-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference after winning two-of-three games against Eastern Illinois over the weekend. KSU is currently 20-21 overall and 11-11 in the Atlantic Sun after losing three games at North Florida over the weekend.

Parker Gargis currently leads Samford in batting average (.400). He also leads the team in RBI (34), hits (54) and doubles (10). John Morgan currently leads the team in runs scored (34), while Garrett Rice leads the team in home runs (5).

So far this season, Samford is 0-2 in games against members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Bulldogs fell to Lipscomb, 7-1, and to Mercer, 4-0. Samford has a record of 11-12 in road games. The Bulldogs play their next five games on the road.
