Samford Athletics Reminds Fans To "Sell Out Seibert" Jan. 29

Jan. 16, 2007

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford athletic department would like to remind fans about its "Sell Out Seibert" promotion taking place on Jan. 29, against conference rival Murray State at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to set the all-time attendance record in the key Ohio Valley Conference matchup.

To commemorate Samford's 45th-and-final season in historic Seibert Hall, the athletic department would like to have a school-record 4,500 fans in attendance for the pivotal OVC game.

The current attendance record of 4,240 was set Feb. 1, 2001, against Georgia State.

Former Bulldog players and coaches will be honored at halftime as Samford remembers all of the good times and memories it has had in the 45 years of Seibert Hall.

In 2007-08, the Samford basketball programs will move next door to the state-of-the-art, 32-million-dollar Pete Hanna Arena.
