BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford University women's tennis team prepares for their first road trip of the season as they will travel to the state of Georgia this weekend to take on Georgia State and Kennesaw State. The Bulldogs will face off with the Panthers of Georgia State on Saturday before taking on the Owls of Kennesaw State on Sunday.

The Samford women come off their first win of the season over conference opponent and in-state rival Jacksonville State on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Despite inclement weather the Bulldogs and the Gamecocks were able to play four full matches before the Bulldogs claimed their first victory of the season in the sweep of Jacksonville State.

Match play will begin Saturday in Atlanta as the Bulldogs take on the Panthers at noon. Sunday's match with Kennesaw State will begin at 10 a.m. For a full recap and results, visit www.samfordsports.com.
