Samford Men's Golf In Ninth Place After Two Rounds In Argonaut Invitational

PENSACOLA, Fla. ---- The Samford men's golf team completed two rounds Monday in the University of West Florida Argonaut Invitational. After day one of competition, the Bulldogs currently sit at ninth place in the team standings, shooting a combine 592.

Samford had one player land in the top 20. Reed Davis is currently in a three-way tie at 15th place, shooting 73 in round one and 72 in round two. Bradley Pate sits in an eight-way tie for 28th place (75-73 = 148), and Andrew Villarreal is tied with four other players for 36th place, shooting 77-72 = 149.

Rounding out the Bulldog team for day one are John Turnipseed and Jeremy Cox. Turnipseed and Cox are tied for 40th and 70th, respectively. Turnipseed shot 73-77 = 150 Friday, while Cox shot 80-80= 160.
