BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford men's tennis team play host to the University of North Alabama in an unscheduled match on Sunday, March 4. This will be the fourth non-conference match for the Bulldog men in a week. The match with the Lions was not scheduled until this week when North Alabama and Samford agreed to play.
The Bulldogs come off a jam-packed weekend playing three non-conference matches, one against a nationally ranked team. Samford defeated Pfeiffer on Friday in a 7-0 sweep and Davidson on Saturday, 5-2. The only loss on the weekend for the Bulldogs was to nationally ranked South Carolina, 4-1. However, all was not lost for the Bulldogs on Sunday as Renan Silveira and Sam Huffman came out victorious over the Gamecocks' No. 42-ranked duo, 8-3, in the number one court. Huffman also won the only singles match for the Bulldogs.
