CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The Samford University softball team is currently in the midst of its second rain delay Friday as the Bulldogs are playing their first game of a series-opening doubleheader against the Austin Peay Governors.

After the first game started an hour and 40-minutes late due to rain, the teams played five and a half innings before the sky opened up again for a second delay. Austin Peay leads the game 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The teams will try to play the second game of the doubleheader Friday, but if the rain persists the teams will be forced to play two games Saturday.
