Rodriguez then hit a two-run home run to left field with Swann on base for a 3-2 Samford lead.

Samford added two runs in the bottom of the fourth to push its lead to 5-2. Alex Godshall singled through the left side of the infield to drive in Swann for the first run of the inning. Michael Johnson then walked with the bases loaded to bring in Rodriguez for a three-run Samford lead.
