BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford Baseball program announced the addition of four new student-athletes for the 2011 recruiting class on Wednesday.
The Casey Dunn-led staff has had five nationally ranked recruiting classes in their brief time at Samford. The Bulldogs will be adding Caleb Dugas (IF, Northwest Rankin HS, Flowood, Miss.), Cole Limbaugh (P, Childersburg HS, Sylacauga, Ala.), Brandon Haarer (OF, Sarasota HS, Sarasota, Fla.) and Jared Watson (C, Episcopal HS, Jacksonville, Fla.).
The seventh signing class for Coach Dunn's staff will be one of the smaller recruiting groups they have brought to Samford.
"I am excited to bring these four young men into our program," Dunn said. "We do not lose a lot off of this year's roster and have very few needs for the 2012 season. I believe we have added guys who not only can help us immediately, but will be a solid core to build off of in the future. As this season unfolds we should get a clearer picture of how the draft will impact our junior class. Depending on potential losses, we might have to make additions to this recruiting class in the spring."
Later in the week each new addition will be featured with an individual article on the student-athlete.
