BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford University men's tennis team will step out of Southern Conference play for a single match Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. (CDT) as the Bulldogs welcome the Abilene Christian Wildcats to the Samford Tennis Center for a nonconference duel.
Samford (9-7) will return to conference play Saturday at 11 a.m., as the Bulldogs square off against The Citadel. Samford heads into Wednesday's midweek matchup with a bit of positive momentum after the Bulldogs knocked off Wofford 4-3 on Sunday.

Prior to their contest against Samford, the Wildcats are scheduled to square off against Stillman College at 10 a.m. Abilene Christian enters its Birmingham, Ala., road trip with a full head of steam after defeating Prairie View A&M, 6-0, in Waco, Texas, on March 27.
The Wildcats are only 1-4 in road matches this season, but have rallied for a perfect 4-0 record in neutral contests.
The Samford University men's tennis team will next be in action Saturday at 11 a.m. (CDT) as the Bulldogs welcome The Citadel Bulldogs to the Samford Tennis Center for a critical SoCon showdown.
