BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The third and deciding game of Samford baseball's annual Red-Blue World Series has been scheduled for Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Joe Lee Griffin Field.
In Thursday's game head coach Casey Dunn will pitch for the Blue team, while either assistant coach Rucker Taylor or assistant coach Mick Fieldbinder, a recent addition to the roster, will take the mound for the Red team.
The Red team took the first game of the series, 6-2, on Friday evening. The Blue team, however, came back to win game two by a score of 8-1 Saturday morning.
In game two, first baseman Saxon Butler led the Blue team with a two-run home run. Michael Gunter earned the win on the mound, while Joseph Burns took the loss.
Wednesday's game is open to the public and admission is free.
