The undefeated Samford University women's tennis team continued to rack up impressive accolades Tuesday, as the Bulldogs received their first national ranking of recent history by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Samford (4-0), which is coming off a demonstrative 6-1 victory against No. 70-ranked North Florida on Saturday, moved into Tuesday's ITA rankings at the No. 74 position. The Bulldogs are sandwiched by Mississippi State and William and Mary, which are listed at No. 73 and No. 75, respectively.
So far this season, Samford has rattled off consecutive wins against Belmont 7-0, Charlotte 5-2, Jacksonville State 6-1 and No. 70 North Florida 6-1.
The nationally-ranked Samford women's tennis team will next be in action Wednesday at 2 p.m. (CST) as the Bulldogs welcome the UAB Blazers to the Samford Tennis Center for a cross-town rivalry match.
