BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford baseball program will host a Kids Day at Joe Lee Griffin Field on Sunday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m.
Parents and kids alike are encouraged to come to this free event to preview the upcoming season. The Bulldog players will assist kids in hitting, pitching and defensive drills as well as playing catch in the outfield. Complimentary popcorn and Coca-Cola products will be provided by the baseball team.
The Samford Diamond Girls will also be present with Samford face tattoos and fun giveaways. Kids will have the opportunity to have a picture taken with Spike, Samford's official mascot, and the 2011 baseball schedule cards and posters will be available as well.
Tickets for the upcoming season will be available for purchase at the event. This year, Samford has announced an exciting new season ticket package. The Samford Grand Slam is the perfect way for families and groups to take in an entire season of Samford baseball. For just $50, four people gain admission to all 31 home games at Joe Lee Griffin Field including the annual matchups with in-state rivals Auburn and Alabama.
Tickets may be purchased at the Samford Ticket Office inside The Pete Hanna Center or by visiting www.samfordsports.com/tickets. Individual game tickets will go on sale at a later date.
