HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Appalachian State holds a one stroke lead and the Mountaineers' Yue Xu and Samford's Anna Heim are tied at 74 Sunday after round one of the Low Country Intercollegiate being held at the Moss Creeks' South Course, a par-72 5,853 yard course.

Appalachian State sits with 314 strokes after round one, with Gardner-Webb (315) and Samford (316) rounding out the top three.

Yu and Heim hold a two shot lead over Western Kentucky's Jo Anna Smith, Gardner-Webb's Meghan Allum and Lauren Smith, as well as Appalachian State's Rumbidzai Masamvu, who all fired a 76 in the opening round.

Wofford (321), Richmond (324), SCAD (325), Presbyterian (325), Western Kentucky (330), USC Upstate (334) and Radford (340) round out the top-10 teams following round one. Winthrop (341), Brown (346), Tennessee Tech (348) and The Citadel (356) complete the field.

Round two will resume Monday at 8:30 a.m. (CDT) with a shotgun start.
