JACKSONVILLE, Ala. --Samford's game against Jacksonville State was called in the top of the fifth inning because of lightning and strong storms in the area. Through four innings, the game was tied at 2-2.

Next up, the Bulldogs travel to Starkville, Miss., for the Mississippi State Tournament starting on Saturday, March 3. Samford will play Columbia (5 p.m.) and Louisiana Tech (7 p.m.) on day one and then will have rematches against Eastern Illinois (1 p.m.) and Mississippi State (3 p.m.) on Sunday.
