BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--Today is a sad day for the Samford community as we lose a colleague and close friend, Dave McDaniel in a tragic car accident. Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife Vicki and their family during this difficult time. Dave has been an integral part of our Samford broadcast team for football and women's basketball and a true professional in his long career in broadcasting. His passion for our student-athletes and warm and caring attitude will be missed but not forgotten. May he rest in the house of our Lord (John 14:1-4).
