The Bulldogs defeated Elon, 4-3, in last week’s SoCon Tournament championship match

The 2012-13 SoCon Champions.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford University men's tennis team will host an NCAA Tournament Selection Show party Tuesday at 4 p.m. (CDT) as the Southern Conference Tournament-champion Bulldogs will find out their opponent and regional location in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Samford's Selection Show party will be held at Harry's Coffee House in the Student Center where free t-shirts and refreshments will be available.

The Bulldogs qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three seasons on April 21 by winning the SoCon Tournament championship. In the final match of the four-day competition, Samford rallied for a critical 4-3 triumph over Elon. The Bulldogs are in the midst of a four-match winning streak, dating back to April 13.

Samford will begin play in the 2013 NCAA Tournament on either May 10 or 11 depending on which regional site the Bulldogs are sent. Samford will learn of its regional destination and first-round opponent Tuesday at 4 p.m. (CDT) as the NCAA Selection Show will be aired live on NCAA.com.

Two seasons ago, Samford also won the SoCon Tournament title and was sent to Athens, Ga., where the Bulldogs faced off against the sixth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs in an opening-round match held at the Dan Magill Tennis Center.
