BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Samford football team will return home to host the VMI Keydets today at 2 p.m. (CT) at Seibert Stadium.

Samford enters the game with a record of 4-1 overall and 2-1 in SoCon play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 38-21 win at Furman last week in Greenville, S.C.
         
VMI is currently 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Southern Conference. The Keydets are coming off a 37-7 win over ETSU last weekend.
 
The Samford Bulldogs and VMI Keydets are meeting for just the fourth time in the history of the two programs. Samford has won each of the first three meetings. The teams last met on Oct. 10, 2015, in Lexington, Va. In that meeting, Samford came away with a 49-13 victory over VMI.
