MACON, Ga.—The Samford women's golf team placed ninth at the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship, held Monday and Tuesday in Macon, Georgia.
Samford finished with a three-round total of 919 (304-309-306). The host school, Mercer won the event with a score of 897 (300-297-300). Southern Mississippi (298-301-300) and Toledo (303-299-297) tied for second with identical scores of 899.
Individually for Samford,
Anna Buchanan led the way, tying for seventh with a three-round score of 223 (76-75-72).
Madeline Davis tied for 17
th with a tournament total score of 227 (74-75-78).
Hallianne Hobson (77-80-79) and
Haley Harrington (77-82-77) both tied for 47
th at 236.
Kate Collom tied for 56
th with a three-round score of 243 (82-79-82).
Emily Uhland and
Crockett Floyd played as individuals from Samford. Uhland tied for 53
rd with a three-round score of 239 (76-85-78). Floyd finished 58
th at 244 (79-85-80).
Mary Joiner of Western Kentucky earned individual medalist honors with a score of 213 (76-71-66).
The tournament concludes the fall portion of the season for Samford.
