FINAL RESULTS

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Samford women's golf team finished fifth in the Samford University Women's Intercollegiate, held Monday and Tuesday at Greystone Golf and Country Club.

"I thought our team showed really good signs of improvement that we've been working hard to make," Samford head coach Rachel Ingram said. "We're still lacking in finishing completely strong throughout the day."

As a team, Samford shot a three-round total of 924 (305-311-308). Troy won the tournament with a final score of 870 (301-276-293). Charleston Southern came in second in the event at 901 (301-293-307).

"We will take some time off for Spring Break and then continue to work hard as we head into Ole Miss," Ingram said. "Overall, I am very proud of the girls and the way they've been fighting and learning how to hang in there. We just need to keep working at it."

Individually for Samford, Emily Uhland tied for 14^th with a score of 229 (75-77-77). Hayley Wagner, who was playing as an individual, also tied for 14^th with a score of 229 (74-86-69).

Anna Buchanan finished 23^rd in the 58-player field with a three-round total of 233 (79-80-74). Hayley Harrington (78-76-80) and Madeline Davis (73-79-82) both ended in a tie for 24^th at 234.

Kate Collom, also playing as an individual, finished in a tie for 31^st at 237 (80-79-78). Crockett Floyd tied for 41^st, carding a score of 242 (86-79-77).

Fatima Cano of Troy earned individual medalist honors, finishing with a score of 208 (68-68-72). Bella Johnson of Charleston Southern came in second at 216 (71-72-73).

Samford will return to action April 1-3, when the Bulldogs compete in the Rebel Intercollegiate at Ole Miss.
