MACON, Ga.—The Samford women's golf team will wrap up the fall portion of its schedule by competing in the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship, hosted by Mercer at the Idle Hour Golf and Country Club (Par 72, 6,166 yards) Monday and Tuesday.
The teams will play two rounds Monday, beginning with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. (CT). The event will conclude with one round Tuesday, scheduled for a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. (CT).
Samford's playing five for the tournament will be
Kate Collom,
Madeline Davis,
Mary Kate Horton,
Hallianne Hobson and
Crockett Floyd.
Emily Uhland will be competing in the tournament as an individual.
Hobson has led Samford so far this fall, with a stroke average of 74.44 in nine rounds of golf. Davis has averaged 75.22 in nine rounds. Horton, in her first season of collegiate golf has posted a stroke average of 76.67 over nine rounds of work.
Collom has a stroke average of 77.11 in nine rounds, while Floyd has averaged 79.00 over nine rounds. Uhland has also posted a 79.00 stroke average in six rounds.
Joining Samford and the host, Mercer in the tournament will be Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Georgia Southern, James Madison, Mercer, North Florida, Rutgers, Troy and Western Kentucky.
