MACON, Ga. – The 15th-ranked Samford football team will play at Mercer Saturday at 2 p.m. (CT) at Five Star Stadium.
Samford enters the game with a record of 5-3 overall and 3-2 in SoCon play so far this season. The Bulldogs dropped a heart-breaking 23-21 decision to Chattanooga last Saturday.
Mercer is currently 4-4 overall and 3-3 in Southern Conference play. The Bears took last week off from competition. Mercer fell at Furman, 28-21, on Oct. 21.
The Samford Bulldogs and Mercer Bears are meeting for the 24th time, with Samford holding a 12-10-1 advantage in the series. The teams last met on Nov. 12, 2016, with Samford earning a 24-19 win at Seibert Stadium. Since Mercer joined the SoCon in 2014, Samford is 3-0 against the Bears.
