Men's Golf Wraps Up Play At Tiger Invitational

FULL RESULTS

OPELIKA, Ala.—The Samford men's golf team placed 19^th at the Tiger Invitational, hosted by Auburn University at the Grand National Lake Course (Par 72, 7,149), Sunday and Monday.

The tournament was originally scheduled to be played Sunday through Tuesday, but due to forecasted inclement weather on Tuesday, the schedule was altered. The teams played a full first round and most of the second round on Sunday. The second round was completed and the entire third round was played on Tuesday.

Samford finished with a three-round score of 918 (305-316-297). The host school, Auburn won the event, shooting a total score of 851 (279-288-284). Troy came in second at 856 (291-287-278).

Individually, Samford was led by Aaron Walker, with a tournament total score of 223 (76-78-69), tying him for 54^th in the 99-player field. Alec Stopperich tied for 78^th, with a three-round score of 228 (71-81-76). Garrett Moores tied for 85^th with a final score of 231 (74-78-79).

Harlan Winn fired a final score of 238 (84-81-73), placing him 97^th in the tournament. Jackson Seawell tied for 98^th with a three-round score of 250 (85-79-86).

Individual medalist honors went to Thomas Eldridge of UNC Wilmington, posting a final score of 203 (69-66-68). Zan Luka Stirn of Arkansas State came in second at 206 (66-68-72).

Samford will return to action on March 13, when the Bulldogs compete on the Grover Page Classic, hosted by UT Martin.
