Soccer Earns Road SoCon Win At Chattanooga, 2-0

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –
After a scoreless first half, the Samford soccer team scored two quick early second half goals to pick up a 2-0 Southern Conference win at Chattanooga Friday night at Finley Stadium. With the win, Samford improves to 9-5-1 overall and 6-0-1 in SoCon play. The win extends Samford's Southern Conference unbeaten streak to 23 games.
 
KEY PLAYS
  • Neither team could score in the first half as the teams headed to the locker room at halftime in a scoreless tie.
  • Samford broke through when Erin Bonner snuck a ball over the out-stretched arms of UTC goalkeeper Ashton Shields in the 48th minute.
  • The Bulldogs added another goal in the 51st minute by Carolina Orman off assists from Ella Baggett and Alyssa Frazier.
