Soccer Picks Up SoCon Road Win At VMI, 2-1

LEXINGTON, Va. –
The Samford soccer team fell behind early, but used a pair of second-half goals to earn a 2-1 Southern Conference win at VMI Friday afternoon.
 
With the win, Samford improves to 10-5-1 overall and 7-0-1 in SoCon play. The Bulldogs sit in first place in the conference standings with one match remaining in the regular season. The win also extends Samford's unbeaten streak in SoCon games to 24.
