BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford's fall teams posted a 3-1 record last week, all in Southern Conference competition. This week, each of the teams will be on the road, hoping to keep their momentum going, as they have gone a combined 8-1 over the last two weeks.
FOOTBALL
For the second-straight week, the football team's offense put up huge numbers. The team set a school record with 773 yards of offense on its way to a 73-22 win over VMI at Seibert Stadium.
This week, the Bulldogs will travel to Furman Saturday afternoon. The game can be seen live on ESPN , and kickoff is set for 1 p.m. (CT) from Paladin Stadium. Links to follow the game online are below.

SOCCER
The soccer team picked earned a 2-0 win at rival Chattanooga Friday night.
Erin Bonner and
Caroline Orman scored a goal each to lead the Bulldogs to the win. The victory extended the team's SoCon unbeaten streak to 23 games.
This week, the soccer team will wrap up its regular season with matches at VMI Friday at 3 p.m. (CT), and at UNCG Sunday at 1 p.m. (CT). Links to follow both matches are below.

VOLLEYBALL
The volleyball team split its two matches last week. The Bulldogs fell at Chattanooga, 3-2 Wednesday night, but came back to earn a dramatic 3-2 win at Western Carolina Friday evening.
This week, the Bulldogs will travel to Furman Friday at 6 p.m. (CT), and Wofford Saturday at 5 p.m. (CT). Links to follow the matches are below.
The team's next home match will be Friday, Oct. 26 vs. UNCG. That match will be the team's Dig Pink match, with all proceeds going to the Side Out Foundation. For more information, click on the following link:

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The men's basketball team will open its season Nov. 6, when the Bulldogs host North Alabama at 6:30 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center. For season ticket information, click here:

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The women's basketball team will host Berry College in an exhibition game Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. The team will open the regular season Nov. 6 at UT Martin.
CROSS-COUNTRY
The cross-country teams both took part in the UAB Blazer Classic last Friday. Both teams came in fifth in the event.

MEN'S GOLF
The Samford men's golf team had a strong showing at the Autotrader Collegiate Classic in Duluth, Ga. The Bulldogs finished fourth in the 12-team event, with three Bulldogs finishing in the top 10.
The tournament wrapped up the fall season for men's golf. The team will open the spring portion of its schedule Feb. 12-13 at the USA/Sports Authority Invitational in Mobile.
WOMEN'S GOLF
The Samford women's golf team took the week off from competition.
The women's golf squad will next compete in the Terrier Intercollegiate, Oct. 29-30. The event will be the team's final fall tournament.
MEN'S TENNIS
The Samford men's tennis team had a strong showing in the Samford Round Robin last weekend at the Samford University Tennis Center. The team went 6-0 in doubles and 9-7 in singles in the event.
Men's tennis will next compete in the ITA Regionals in Tuscaloosa, Wednesday through Sunday. A full recap and results will be posted to

WOMEN'S TENNIS
The Samford women's tennis team competed against a stellar field in the ITA Southern Regional in Oxford, Miss.
