BOULDER, Colo. – The Samford women's basketball team dropped an 81-39 decision at Colorado Thursday night at the CU Events Center.
 
With the loss, Samford falls to 4-9 on the season. Colorado improves to 10-1 with the victory.

• Paige Serup and Ta'Naisha Hill shared the team lead with nine points each.
• Katie Allen added five points for the Bulldogs.
• Emma Clarke led Colorado with 12 points.
• Peanut Tuitele posted a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

 
GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• The game was tight early until, with Colorado leading, 14-10, the Buffaloes went on a 7-0 run to push their lead to 21-10 with 3:03 left in the first quarter.
• At the end of the first quarter, Colorado held a 24-11 advantage.
• Colorado pushed its lead to 32-13 early in the second quarter.
• Three-pointers by Samford's Serup, Katie Allen and Hill cut the lead to 32-22 with 2:38 left in the second period.
• Colorado scored five of the final seven points to push its lead to 37-24 at halftime.
• With Samford trailing, 39-26 early in the third quarter, Colorado closed the period with a 16-1 run to take a 55-27 lead at the end of the quarter.
• Colorado built as much as a 43-point lead in the fourth quarter and finished with an 81-39 win.
