LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Samford men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at 49^th-ranked Louisville Saturday evening.

Samford took the doubles match on the No. 2 court, with Eduardo Lourido and Max Rebol defeating Federico Gomez and Brandon Lancaster, 6-1. Louisville, however, came back to win on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts to secure the doubles point.

The Cardinals then swept all six singles matches in straight sets to take the 7-0 victory.

With the loss, Samford falls to 8-9 on the season. Louisville improves to 14-4 with the win.

Samford will return to action April 7, when the Bulldogs host Furman. The match is set to begin at 11 a.m. at the Samford Tennis Center.
