PINEHURST, N.C. – The Samford men's golf team finished sixth at the 2018 Southern Conference Tournament, played Sunday through Tuesday at Pinehurst No. 9 (Par 72, 7,116 yards).

As a team, Samford finished with a three-round score of 913 (303-312-298). UNCG won the event, posting a final score of 882 (297-285-300).

Individually for Samford, Harlan Winn tied for 13th in the 40-player field, posting a final score of 225 (69-78-78). Aaron Walker placed 17th with a three-round total of 227 (75-79-73).

Alec Stopperich tied for 23rd with a final score of 233 (87-75-71). Austin Rains finished 26th at 234 (78-80-76). George Hall came in 38th with a three-round total of 252 (81-87-84).

Nick Lyerly of UNCG earned individual medalist honors, posting a final score of 212 (73-70-69). Dylan MacQueen of Western Carolina and Stanton Schorr of Mercer tied for second, with identical scores of 216.
