TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Samford volleyball took undefeated and 25
th-ranked Alabama to a fifth set before eventually falling, 3-2 (25-18, 21-25, 25-23, 19-25, 10-15) Tuesday evening at Foster Auditorium. Samford falls to 4-7 with the loss, while Alabama improves to 10-0.

KEY MOMENTS
- The first set was close early on until, with Samford leading, 13-11, the Bulldogs went on an 8-0 run to take a 21-11 lead.
- Alabama fought back to cut the lead to six at 24-18, but a kill by Kelsi Hobbs closed out the 25-18 set win for Samford.
- The second set was also neck-and-neck most of the way.
- With Samford trailing, 20-19, Alabama scored five of the final seven points to win the set, 25-21.
- In the middle of the third set, Alabama used a 5-1 run to take a 20-16 lead, forcing a Samford timeout.
- Coming out of the timeout, Samford used a 9-3 run to take the 25-23 set victory.
