Soccer Opens SoCon Play With 2-0 Win Over The Citadel

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –
Samford senior forward Ella Baggett scored two second-half goals to lift the Bulldogs to a 2-0 win over The Citadel in the Southern Conference opener for both teams Friday night at the Samford Track and Soccer Stadium. With the win, Samford improves to 4-5 overall and 1-0 in Southern Conference matches. The Citadel drops to 6-3 overall and 0-1 in league play.
