BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford soccer team clinched a share of its sixth-straight Southern Conference regular season title with a 1-0 win over Chattanooga Sunday afternoon at the Samford Track and Soccer Stadium.
With the win Samford improves to 10-3-5 overall and 7-1-1 in SoCon play. The Bulldogs share the title with Furman, but Samford will earn the No. 1 seed in the SoCon Tournament due to conference tie-breaker rules. Chattanooga falls to 9-6-3 overall and 4-4-1 in league play.

KEY PLAYS
- Alyssa Frazier scored the lone goal of the match in the 57th minute to give Samford the lead.
- Chattanooga had a few chances to score, the biggest coming in the 87th minute when Samford goalkeeper Morgan McAslan deflected Bailey Gale's shot, causing it to go high.

- Samford will host a Southern Conference Tournament quarterfinal game next Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Samford Track and Soccer Stadium. Samford will play the winner of Wednesday night's game between ETSU and The Citadel.
