Soccer Advances To SoCon Semifinals With 5-1 Win Over The Citadel

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –
The top-seeded Samford soccer team advanced to the semifinals of the Southern Conference Tournament with a 5-1 win over The Citadel in a quarterfinal game Saturday afternoon at the Samford Track and Soccer Stadium.
 
With the win, Samford improves to 11-3-5 on the season. Samford will take on the winner of Sunday's Mercer-Western Carolina game in Friday's semifinal round in Greensboro, N.C. The Citadel ends its season with a record of 6-11-2.
