GREENSBORO, N.C. – The top-seeded Samford soccer team earned a 3-0 win over fourth-seeded Mercer in the Southern Conference Tournament semifinals Friday afternoon on the campus of UNC Greensboro.
With the win, Samford improves to 12-3-5 on the season. The Bulldogs will play for the SoCon Tournament title Sunday against either Furman or UNCG. Samford advances to the finals for the first time since 2016, when the Bulldogs won the tournament title. Mercer ends its season with a mark of 16-4.
