PALM CITY, Fla. -- The Samford men's golf team is currently sitting in fifth as they followed up Sunday's round of six over with an even par round on Monday at the UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate.

Samford senior Aaron Walker leads the team after two rounds as he posted a 71 (-1) which included four birdies on the back nine as he birded the par four 10th, the par three 14th, the par four 16th, and the par five 17th. Walker's two round total of 142 (-2) puts him in a tie for fourth individually.

Samford junior Harlan Winn also cracked the top ten individually, as he followed up his round one 72 (E) with a 71 (-1) on Monday. Even though Winn made a tough double bogey on the par five 8th, he was not phased by it on the back nine, as he finished strong with birdies on the par four 16th and the par five 17th. Winn's two round total of 143 (-1) is good enough for a tie of sixth place individually.
