Ryan Brzozoski to give Samford a walk-off 6-5 win over Jackson State.
With the split, Samford is now 6-13 on the young season. Houston Baptist has a record of 7-6, and Jackson State has a mark of 2-18.

- Whitney Hinton went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
- Madison Couch also homered in the win, going 1-for-4 with an RBI.
- Timberlyn Shurbutt went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
- Lacey Spear (4-2) pitched the complete 7.0 innings, giving up five runs, four earned, on just one hit to earn the win in the circle for Samford.
SCORING SUMMARY
- Jackson State took the lead first with three runs in the top of the third inning.
- Samford came back with a run in the bottom of the third to cut the JSU lead to 3-1.
- After Jackson State pushed its lead to 5-1, Samford knotted the score at 5-5 with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. The big blast in the inning was Hinton's three-run home run.
- In the bottom of the seventh inning, Hannah Trombley led off with an infield single, and Brzozoski pinch ran for Trombley. With one out Brzozoski advanced to second base on a wild pitch and then scored on Mayfield's single for the 6-5 win.

- Ashlyn Barnes and Merritt Cahoon each went 1-for-3 with an RBI to lead Samford at the plate.
- Annalyn Yantis (0-4) pitched 5.0 innings, giving up five runs, just two earned, on five hits to take the loss for the Bulldogs.
- Jessica Patak (2-5) earned the win for the Huskies, tossing 5.0 innings, surrendering two runs on four hits.
- Caitlyn Brockway went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI to lead HBU at the plate.
SCORING SUMMARY
- Samford plated two runs in the bottom of the first inning to take an early 2-0 lead.
- Houston Baptist plated a run in the second inning, one in the fourth, one in the fifth, two in the sixth and one in the seventh to pull away for the 6-2 win.
